Emily Miller is the Chief of Staff at Aster Talent and brings nearly a decade of experience in recruiting and talent advisory, having partnered with founders and executive leaders across a wide range of industries on hiring strategy, operational growth, and organizational development.

Emily began her career at Trunk Club, an early-stage startup that was later acquired by Nordstrom, where she gained her first exposure to the venture-backed world and experienced firsthand what it means to scale a company through a major transition. She then joined Hunt Club, a venture-backed talent acquisition firm in Chicago, where she spent nearly five years growing from Manager to Managing Director — leading a team of nine and consulting clients on organizational strategy, executive hiring, and succession planning. Prior to joining Aster Talent, Emily co-founded and led a boutique recruiting and talent consulting firm, overseeing all client strategy and business operations.

Emily holds a B.S. in Human Environmental Sciences from the University of Missouri, where she was a varsity Division I swimmer. Outside of work, she is passionate about giving back — having run three marathons with Imerman Angels, a cancer support organization. She currently resides in Dallas with her husband and son.

Amelia Earhart. I've always admired those who chart their own course.

What's always in your carry-on?

My tennis shoes. There's no better way to explore a new city than going for a run.

What is your signature dish?

Greek salad with salmon or shrimp — inspired by my grandfather, who immigrated from Greece at 15.
