Ruthanne is the Founder & CEO of Aster Talent. She brings to the Firm over 20 years of recruitment experience partnering with funds across size, strategy and geography.

She has spent the lion's share of her career placing Human Capital/Talent professionals including Heads of Human Capital, Talent Partners and other specialized roles helping funds to meet some of the most complex challenges on the people front. Ruthanne is Hogan certified regularly leveraging Hogan assessment tools to guide and advise clients and candidates alike.

Before search, Ruthanne worked in international and technology marketing at Oracle, Volera (a Novell subsidiary) and later the Commercial Branch of the French Embassy where she helped French technology companies to establish a presence in the USA. She is a fluent French speaker.

Ruthanne has an MBA from UC Berkeley, Haas School of Business and a BA in International Relations from UC Santa Barbara. A passionate independent movie and documentary lover, you can find her without fail at the Sundance Film Festival every January.

Prior to pursuing a career in executive search, Bari spent four years at Morgan Stanley in the Investment Banking division, where she managed recruiting, training and performance evaluation for the Investment Banking Analyst program. She began her executive search career at a global firm, where she focused on placing Human Capital roles at a variety of financial firms and was also the co-head of the firm's internal hiring group. Brian graduated with a B.S. in Economics from The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.

Brian is also an angel investor, startup advisor, and board member, partnering with early-stage technology companies on strategy and growth. He serves as Chairman of the Board of Defy Ventures, a national nonprofit that empowers current and formerly incarcerated men and women through entrepreneurship training, and as a Board Member of StreetWise Partners, a nonprofit that helps underserved job seekers build professional skills, expand their networks, and advance their careers.

Mick

Head of Security · In Memoriam

Mick served proudly as Aster Talent's Head of Security and was a very good dog.

He specialized in monitoring the activities of delivery services and took great pride in being the first to alert all when the mail arrived. Both candidates and clients delighted in his highly expressive vocalizations during important phone calls.

While patrolling the premises, Mick was often spotted on Zoom. He proudly sponsored the firm's Wellness initiatives giving frequent reminders of the benefits of regular walks and fresh air.

Mick was originally from the San Francisco SPCA and a graduate of Mandy's Mutts. A full-time resident in "my world, you just live in it," he will be missed by all.
